Since 2020, one team has stood out with an incredible mobilization, the one of the event's presenting partner. Danick Lavoie, President and CEO of Pelican International, is very proud of his team, which raised over $200,000 for the cause.
In 2021, the paddle event became the Circuit bleu Charles-Bruneau presented by Pelican. For Mr. Lavoie, there are several reasons for this multi-year commitment. Supporting this outdoor activity is not only in line with what the company does best, but also with its social values. "For a company that is looking to get involved and make a contribution to the society, the Circuit bleu meets these criterias," he explains, inviting other companies to join the adventure.
Registering a corporate team
For Cascades, a major partner of the Charles-Bruneau Foundation, participation in the Circuit bleu Charles-Bruneau also meets this need to get involved in its community.
Registering a team for the event "allows us to bring our employees together around a common goal," says Karine Jobin, vice-president of human resources at Cascades Containerboard Packaging. She also adds that "as a corporate citizen, we can really make a difference.
In 2019, five members of the Cascades team participated in the Circuit bleu for the first time. In 2021, 33 participants raised more than $22,000, proving that the Circuit bleu Charles-Bruneau is the perfect event to bring colleagues together.
